About us:

CreatureKind’s mission is to advance collective liberation — for animals, peoples, and the earth — with a special focus on farmed animals and food systems. We encourage and equip Christians to embody the interdependence of God’s whole Creation by creating educational and worship resources, and curating sacred spaces for spiritual formation, leadership development, and community change-making.

Position:

A nine-month senior fellowship designed to help a committed individual develop their professional skills in Christian animal advocacy. This position is a wonderful opportunity for passionate, well-organized individuals who are excited about coaching and teaching an intersectional approach to the welfare of animals farmed for food. This is a remote, contract position, joining a 100% virtual and remote office.

Role:

The senior fellow is responsible for supporting the Fellowship Program Director and CreatureKind fellows via coaching, coordinating learning modules on Canvas, coordinating discussion forums, and providing feedback to the monthly assignments. The CreatureKind Fellowship Program is an intensive and selective program for those seeking to care for the well-being of animals farmed for food and those yearning to participate in practical ways of ushering the peace of the Creator to all of God’s beloved creation. This is a program for environmentalists, Christian animal advocates, food/seed/land sovereignty activists, and food security advocates. The Senior Fellowship Coach and Curriculum Coordinator will join the program director and the senior fellow responsible for project and mentor coordination to ensure the success of the program. Senior fellows will report to the Fellowship Program Director, Aline Silva.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Fellowship Coach and Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for coaching all fellows 2x per month; coordinating the orientation, monthly gatherings, and end of year gathering and celebration; responding to fellows in the discussion forum; and providing feedback to monthly assignments.

Qualifications:

Compensation:

The Senior Fellowship Coach and Curriculum Coordinator will be compensated $30 per hour for up to 20 hours of work per month. This is a fully remote, contract position.

How to Apply:

Please send your resume and a cover letter explaining your interest and background in Christian animal advocacy to [email protected].

The deadline for submitting applications is May 31, 2022. The position will begin in July, though there is flexibility for a later start date depending on the candidate’s schedule and the 2022-2023 fellowship selection process.
